40 HOUR INITIAL MAMMOGRAPHY TRAINING COURSE – OFFERED MONTHLY
COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to educate radiographers in the art and science of mammography.
Enrollees in the course must have a California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license or be a student in a JRCERT accredited program.
Class consists of 40 hours of lecture which will assist in preparation for the California Mammography Certificate exam and the ARRT Post-Primary Certification in Mammography.

Digital Radiography
8-hour CE course designed to provide education for diagnostic imaging professionals with an
in-depth look into both digital and computed radiographic techniques. Focuses on the theory and principles of radiation and its application to radiography.
Radiation Protection and Safety Requirements in CA
8-hour CE course designed to provide education for diagnostic imaging professionals regarding radiation protection in radiography.
Stereotactic Biopsy & Pathology
8-hour CE course designed to provide education for medical imaging professionals explaining the principles of various biopsy techniques and breast pathologies
Digital Breast Tomosynthesis & Dense Breasts
8-hour CE course explains the principles of DBT equipment and its operation and how dense breasts are imaged with this modality. The course is designed for medical imaging professionals who plan to practice digital breast tomosynthesis and can be used by technologists to fulfill the MQSA requirement of 8 hours training in a new mammographic modality.
HEALTHCARE COURSES
NURSING ASSISTING | BONE DENSITOMETRY | MEDICAL ASSISTING
The Nursing Assisting Program requires 4 weeks to complete. The Bone Densitometry course requires 1 week to complete the didactic portion of the course. Medical Assisting requires 1 semester of classroom education
